Daylight savings eh.............

                                                                                                                                             March.16/14
 Afternoon,
Well, seems like I have missed a weeks worth of blogging.  Everything is getting crazy at school with only 7 weeks left, and so many tests to cover.  Even as March break is upon us this coming week, I'll be doing more studying than anything else.
So, how is everyone? How did your last two weeks go? Mine; not bad.  More school work than anything else.
Had daylight savings last weekend.  Not too shabby I guess!! I love it and hate it all in the same.  I love that the days get longer, and hate that it's still dark out when I get up in the morning!  But Summer is upon us, so I'll keep my complaining at bay for now!
Been car shopping for myself, but there never seems to be a car in my price range that isn't covered in rust.  I mean I am going through to be an Automotive Technician, but I don't want to spend a butt load of cash on a new to me car, and then have to put more money into it to make it run smoothly.  And I absolutely refuse to buy a car that I will only get a year out of.  I think that is the biggest waste of money ever.  With the economy the way it is, throwing away anywhere from 2500 to 5000 dollars for a year long car is an absolute waste.  Adams sister suggested that to me, and I wanted to slap her for it!! But then again, this was coming from someone who does nothing but waste money on frivolous things that she doesn't need.  Again, who am I to judge?? But don't come to me and tell me that "even if you can get a year out of a car........ "  Blah blah blah.  I don't want to hear it.  She then suggested I ask one of her neighbors if they're selling a car that they don't use.  If there was a for sale sign on it, sure, but I'm not about to knock on their door and be like "Oh hey!  My Sister-In-Law next door there noticed you don't drive that car.  Want to sell it?"  I don't know, maybe it's the way I was raised, or maybe I just have more respect for people than to ask if they want to sell something I don't know is for sale or not.  That to me is like going up to a house you love, knocking on the door and saying "Hey!! I love your house.  How much did you want for it?"  It's absurd, but anyway.
So the whole reason I'm looking for a car is b/c we finally got rid of my little blue bomber!  I jump started it, and drove it to the junk yard.  It was bitter sweet for me.  It was the very first car I had ever bought on my own, the first car to ever be put in my name, and the first car to ever go the distance people said it wouldn't.  This car was a tow-truck with four wheel drive, and a snow plow on the best of days!  I would bomb around the city in the middle of a blinding snowstorm just to deliver coffee or a lunch to my dad who drives a loader!  It has towed my dad's Chev Blazer home from many miles away, without even batting a lash!  It has taken us to many spots in the Maritimes, several beach outings, countless camping excursions, and more.  I would absolutely buy another Kia.  For the little amount of work I out into it, that car outlasted most.  I put two timing belts in it, a few sets of brakes, a new rotor, rebuilt alternator, and tires.  Mind you the body was in decent shape, minus the rocker panels, and the rear wheel fenders, but other than that, she ran like a top.  Now in recent times, I've blown the exhaust off it (Well really I just blew the gaskets!), and the starter went.  If I wanted to keep it, it would have cost me more money to fix it, than to buy a new to me.  So the day finally came, and it drove her to the lot.  I didn't wanna turn the car off when I got there, b/c It was really a bitter sweet ending.  It was sad to see it go, but happy to move on to the next.  I did however, keep one of the keys, for old times sake!! :)

Anyways, as I said, March Break is upon us, and there are so many things I would like to do, but I just need to find the time.  There's toonie Matinees at Cineplex, swimming at the pool, indoor skating, bowling, etc.  I need to find the time to do some of these, or my kids may go bat shit crazy!!  And I also need to find the time to go buy a car!!!!

Regardless what the week will hold, I'm sure it'll be great!!!
